WHAT KIND OF MUSIC DO THE TONICS SING? While some a capella groups on the SUNY Binghamton campus only sing a specific type of music (ex: 80's, Oldies, etc.), the Tonics cover a wide variety of music. In the past, the Tonics have arranged music from such genres as Alternative Rock, 80's, Rock n' Roll, Jazz, Big Band, Hip-Hop, Techno, Reggae, Musicals, and many more. The Tonics are always looking for a new and different style of music to add to their repertoire. Part of the fun of taking different people into the group is that they will have a different taste in music, which they will hopefully add to the Tonics! At the beginning of every semester, the Tonics pick around 20 songs that they will sing for that semester. Three of those 20 will be new arrangements, which the group as a whole votes on. The other 17 songs are a culmination of the most recent arrangements as well as songs that have been on previous Tonic CD's. Please view below the most current arrangements by the Tonics. Listed next to each song will be the performing artist, the member of the Tonics who arranged the song, and the current member of the Tonics, if any, who holds the solo.
